Sports day with the Cadets.
St Catherine of Siena were recently on a sports day run by the army cadets. The children had so much fun and were definitely ready for sleep by the end of the day! We would like to sincerely thank all the cadets who put in so much work to ensure the children had as much fun as possible. What a fantastic day they all had!!
Willow Weaving fun.
Our 3rd class pupils had lots of fun learning the art of willow weaving this week. They all managed to weave fabulous fish and it was a very fun and relaxing lesson. We have been very lucky to have the expertise of the very talented Beth Murphy showing us this wonderful craft and Beth will be back to us over the coming weeks to work with other classes.
Congratulations to our 2nd Class pupils who made their First Holy Communion this weekend.
Congratulations to our 6th class pupils who made their Confirmation at the weekend.

Seachtain na Gaeilge
Many thanks to the extremely talented Eimear O’Loughlin and Ciarán English who kindly gave up their time to entertain our whole school playing a medley of traditional Irish tunes on the fiddle and the banjo for each class as part of Seachtain na Gaeilge. It was very much appreciated by the children and the staff and was wonderful to hear the lively music around the school.
